Make it Monday #18

Yea! I made some time to make a card for PTI's Make-It-Monday. Betsy Veldman shows us how to add texture with tissue paper.

Because I wanted an aged-look, I first inked the white tissue paper with Antique Linen distress ink. I used Mod Podge to adhere the crumpled tissue paper to the stamped panel. After the tissue covered panel dried, I added another layer of Mod Podge. The small glittered butterfly adds just a little dimension to the card. I think this muted card would be pretty for a sympathy card, but I'm not so sure I like it for a birthday card.

It's another hot and sunny day here, so after some grocery shopping this morning, I'm planning on a little lounging in the pool with the slim possibility of some water aerobics.
Have a wonderful weekend,

Stamps: Life, Think Big Favorites # 2 (PTI)
Ink: Rich Cocoa, Lulu Lavendar, Sweet Plum (Memento); Antique Linen Distress Ink(Ranger)
Paper: Stamper's Select White, Fine Linen, Plum Pudding, Lavendar Moon
Other: Butterfly Punch (Fiskars), Glitter (Martha Stewart)

  1. Very pretty card! Like the texture on it from the tissue paper. Maybe you'd like it better by adding the pretty flowers inside the card. I would love it if sent to me for anytime! Have a great day cooling by & in the pool!

  3. Hi Cammie. I just added my card for MIM and saw your lovely project just above it. It's so-o-o pretty. I like your idea of aging the paper first and I must try modge podge. Never thought of that. I think it's a lovely anytime card.
