Berry Sweet, Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge 77

With this post I met one of my goals for July--to participate the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge each week. The last challenge of July, hosted by Emily Keaton, is to use pins on the card. This gave me chance to pull out my beading supplies and make a couple of pins for my card.
First the card.

After cutting kraft cs with the library pocket die, I stamped the image from Strawberries with Black Tuxedo ink and colored it with Copics. Then I stamped the libary card in London Fog ink on. I rounded the corners with the Corner Chomper. Then I stamped the sentiment and strawberry which I also colored with Copics. I cut a tag from patterned paper and stitched onto more patterned paper from the Fly a Kite line. The green gingham rick rack trim was cut with PTI's die. I added some seam binding ribbon and my pins. As I was going through my beads I found two red ones that were shaped similar to strawberries,  so I topped each off with a green bead cap and I carried the strawberry theme through the pins.

Be sure to check out Flourishes Blog for the details on the new monthly challenge Bringing Back Beautiful

  1. Such a pretty card, Cammie! I love your colouring directly on the Kraft, really adds that rustic feel as does the gingham!

  2. Great job! Love your use of the library card and pocket. The strawberry pins are super cute too!

  3. Lovely card! Nice vintage feel to it. And the 'strawberry' pins are super!

  4. Cammie, this is totally scrumtious and reminds me that I so totally need that library ledger and pocket! LOL Adorable and beautifully done! The pins with touch of green pin are strawberry perfection! Awesome card! Thanks so much for playing FTTC!

  5. Oh Cammie, I love this! your pins are great. I had my proxy shopper purchase the library card pocket die at CHA so I am still waiting for it. Can't wait to put it to use as you did beautifully. BTW Walmart has 2 different sizes of the tags and for about $1.50 per package. Very inexpensive for the number you get.

  6. Cammie, I love the mix of colors and textures--very pretty card! The pins are adorable and your basket looks so wonderful done on kraft--your coloring is great!

  7. This is such a fabulous blend of elements! I love the library pocket - especially the way you've stamped on it, and your stick pins are a gorgeous touch!

I truly appreciate your comments. Thanks for taking the time to leave one.
