Flying By
Hi, flying by with a quick post today for Crafty Secrets March Linky Party with a card using a digital stamp from Crafty Secrets set Bunny Hop. I used the Silhouette Cameo to print and cut out the image; then I colored it with Copics using bright spring colors. I stamped the clouds in white pigment ink and then offset the stamped clouds with die cut, embossed clouds. The sentiment is from Crafty Secrets Birds of Happiness. A gingham Polaroid frame adds to the spring theme.
Love this "photo" of the balloon flying overhead. :)
I hope your day is covered with blue skies and white fluffy clouds.

One of the first contests involves creating a card using one of the downloadable color recipes and one of the card sketches. I used the wreath from Birds and Blooms for the circle image.

A Glimpse of Spring
What better way to spend some time during the Polar Vortex last week than to put on the fleece, sip some coffee, and think spring while coloring this beautiful tulip stamp from Flourishes' Tulips for Friends.
Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge #253 is to create a shaped card. I used a cut file by Samantha Walker sold in the Silhouette Online store for the card and the cut file sold by Flourishes for the tulips. I used Prismacolor pencils for coloring. Slipping the gingham ribbon through one of the cutouts helps to anchor the ribbon.
Be sure to check out Flourishes wonderful newly released stamps for January and thanks for stopping by,

Kewpies' New Year
This trio of kewpies and puppy from Crafty Secrets digital stamp set Kewpies Christmas are adorable and thrilled to celebrate a new year and join Crafty Secrets January Linky Party here.
With Photoshop, I erased the "and" from the sentiment and added 2014 to the song book. I used Prismacolor pencils to color and aged with Old Photo and Antique Linen distress inks. The floral background paper is from iralamija shop at Etsy. Crocheted lace, pom trim and a polka dot rose add a little feminine flair.
Do you send cards or receive cards for the new year?

Happy New Year
With a week of the new year gone, I hope it's not too late to send out wishes for a fabulous 2014.
I used Crafty Secrets Party Cats digital stamp set. To the make the cats a little more festive, I added the crown from Bird Notes and party hat from Born to Fly. The sentiment is from Christmas Kewpies. I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and then added a few stamped stars from the acrylic set Pixie Dust. I'm joining the Crafty Secrets January Linky Party here.
We started the new year with a hike in the mountains on the first.
The temperature was in the upper 30s, so it wasn't too terribly cold, but like much of the country the temperature is now in the single digits thanks to the Polar Vortex.
I hope 2014 has begun positively for you, and as always thanks for stopping by today.

Making a List and Checking It Twice
Does this time of year lead you to making many lists? Gifts to purchase, groceries to buy, goodies to bake, projects around the house to complete, cards to mail---the lists often seem endless. Make and keep up with those lists with something festive like this organizer; there are eight pockets, and each pocket has a printed card for making and checking the list.
The papers, bingo cards, and all but two of the other images are from Crafty Secrets Creating with Retro Christmas Digital Kit. I used the 3d Christmas list organizer file by Jamie Capps that can be found in the Silhouette store. It easy to import patterns and png files with the Cameo, and using the trace, offset, and print and cut features makes cutting the png files a snap. I digitally layered the images on the front so it would be flat--no bits and bobs to catch on anything when I toss the organizer in my purse. But inside everything is cut and layered by and hand and glue for more dimension.
I'm linking this to Crafty Secrets Linky Party here, and then I'm off to tackle those holiday lists.
