Greetings from the Kitchen

No, this is not where my kitchen is. Like anyone really thought that for a nano-second.

This is Biltmore Estate-the hunting lodge built by George Vanderbilt in late 1800s in Asheville, NC, and where we were Saturday night for a concert with Bruce Hornsby.
Quaint, huh?

The concert was outside. The end of the house was behind us.

With the mountains to the west.

Quite a venue for a concert. Watching the sunset and sipping wine in the cool mountain air while listening to great music is not a bad way to spend a Saturday evening. This is the fourth time we have seen Bruce Hornsby at Biltmore, and every time is so much fun. He and his band really seem to enjoy themselves, and the music they play is great. Not too many people were staying still.
Now for the card. The reason for this post's title.

I knew this apron template found at Anna Wright's blog Sassy and Sweet would be perfect for Everyday Button Bits. I attached Green Tea Leaves in the large scale to Stamper's Select white card base. I drew the apron template on the back as Anna did; then I cut it out. I used Cutterbee scissors. Because PTI's card stock is so sturdy, it was a little difficult to cut through three layers at once. I attached red rickrack with glue dots to trim the apron and used Spring Moss twill attached with Vintage buttons for the apron ties. The pocket is cut from Bitty Box Basics in Spring Moss and stamped with Everyday Button Bit in Ripe Avocado. I used the reddest Scarlet Jewel Buttons in the tin for the cherries. ( Like so many others, I'll be so happy when Pure Poppy buttons are available.)I tried to bend the pocket a little so that it wasn't lying flat on the apron's front.

Inside I stamped a sentiment from Everyday Button Bits in Ripe Avocado and stamped the cherries again, using the polka dot center from Beautiful Blooms. (Sorry the picture of the inside of the card is out of focus.)

Wouldn't be a good card to accompany a delicious home baked goodies like cookies or cupcakes. I know I'll make more apron cards.

Thanks for stopping by,

Cammie
