Summer is Slowing

Cooler mornings and evenings, days with low humidity, open windows--summer is winding down. Time at the pool is less but not over. For some basking in the sun is the idea.

For others the water is so tempting.

The Casual Midweek Challenge at PTI is to say goodbye to summer,to use those summer stamps on more time. I made a card using Vintage Picnic. The rubdeckias in the garden were the inspiration.

And my card

The picnic basket is stamped in Ripe Avocado and the flowers in Dark Chocolate on Vintage Cream and colored with Prismacolor pencils. The image is sewn onto a mat of Ocean Tides. The dp is Life is Beautiful. A base of Ocean Tides and a strip of Ocean Tides twill ribbon finish the card. I think the darker hue of Ocean Tides lends an end-of-summer-feel to the card.
Do you have three-day weekend? Whether it is a two-or three-day weekend, I hope it is great. Enjoy!
